Pidgin is my main IM tool of choice. It was the best thing on Linux and now I use it on the office Windows box as well. It supports all these networks below. Its been updated to 2.4.0 a few days ago, so if you have it update or try it out.

I upgraded to Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon over the weekend. Then I noticed Pidgin (formally Gaim) was not connecting properly. It was complaining about a SSL library.
I installed the nss library using this command.
sudo aptitude install libnss3-dev
It was mentioned in this thread and its working fine now.
